Home of Schenectady City Historian, Writer, Blogger and all around good guy, Chris Leonard. The son of two history professors, Ira M. Leonard who focused on the growth of US Cities and Violence & Vigilantism, and Myrtle S. Leonard who focused on Elizabethan England; Chris has always been drawn to history. While other kids were reading Batman comics, he was reading biographies of Charlemagne and Merriweather Lewis. Since December 2016, Chris has served as the historian of GE Realty Plot in Schenectady, NY. Chris was appointed City Historian of Schenectady in February 2018. Chris' new book Schenectady's General Electric Realty Plot is available from the Open Door Bookstore, the Schenectady County Historical Society, Marty's True Value, directly from the author, and other upstate bookstores. |
